Major Wendy Oliver has been an active
Salvation Army Officer for thirty
five years and has had long experience
on the mission field, social and welfare
programs.
Wendy grew up in Geelong, Victoria,
entering The Salvation Army Training
College (Bible College) in 1969. After
ordination, she served in children's
homes, chaplaincy to courts and prisons
and director of family support services
prior to overseas service in Brazil.
After nine and half years on mission
field service in emergency relief
programs which included drought and
famine relief to the people of Brazil,
Wendy returned to Australia to appointments
working with street kids of inner
Melbourne, alcohol and drug rehabilitation
and the missing persons/family tracing
service.
