Beverley
Lindsell is the National Executive Officer
of Glaucoma Australia. For the past nine
years her position has entailed overseeing
the administration of the Association and
its staff, acting as the Association's media
relations officer, travelling extensively
to lead glaucoma meetings around Australia,
conducting telephone counselling, managing
fundraising programs, producing newsletters
and brochures and overseeing support groups.
She has assisted with the formation of the
New Zealand and Singapore Glaucoma Associations.
Beverley is on the national committee for
the Lions' Eye Health Program, the Australian
Communities Committee - Vision 2020, past
member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia
and is Vice President of the Association
of Glaucoma International Network.
Prior to this position, Beverley was the
Community Relations Officer at the Knox
Grammar School in Wahroonga and she was
also the Director of Development at MLC
School Burwood in Sydney. These positions
involved liaising with the various groups
within the schools, for example, their Foundations,
ex-student groups and parents' associations.
In addition she was responsible for overseeing
special events such as art exhibitions,
antique fairs, gala days and auctions.
In her past life Beverley has part-owned
four retail businesses.
