Since its formation, the ACMM is the official
recognised body for Victorian Aboriginal Catholics.
The ACMM has two representatives on the National
Aboriginal and Islander Catholic Council Inc.
(NATSICC) which is under the auspices of the
Australian Catholic Bishops Conference and
is the reference point for the Catholic Church
on all national Aboriginal issues.  |

The Abused Child Trust is the leading provider
of services to prevent and treat child abuse
and neglect throughout Queensland. The Trust
runs Contact House programs in Townsville,
Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, which provide
therapeutic interventions to children and
families caught in the cycle of abuse and
neglect. The Abused Child Trust has become
the leading provider of treatment, prevention,
education and research for all forms of child
abuse and neglect in the state. Families can
refer themselves to Contact House for assistance,
and all programs are delivered free-of-charge.

Activ Foundation has a fascinating history
firmly based on the twin pillars of family
and community. We were officially formed in
1951 by a group of parents who wanted to give
their intellectually disabled children a better
life. Until then, children with intellectual
disability were institutionalised alongside
men and women with mental illness.  |

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation provides
support for children who are victims of violence
or sudden family loss. We help these children
return to 'normality' by taking care of the
little things that many of us take for granted,
such as bedroom furniture and clothing. We
have also created and continue to deliver

addresses the serious issue of bullying in

Angel Flight Australia is a charity that
co-ordinates non emergency flights for financially
and medically needy people. All flights are
free and may involve patients or compassionate
carers travelling to or from medical facilities

has concentrated on influencing debate on
a range of animal welfare issues from which
informed decisions result. Policy decisions

word on any issue, so all decisions should
