Community groups undertaking projects aimed at improving safety or protecting their local environment have the chance to receive a financial grant of up to $5,000, thanks to the 2007 NRMA Insurance, SGIC and SGIO communityhelp Grants program.

The communityhelp Grants program is an NRMA Insurance, SGIC and SGIO initiative that supports community groups working to reduce risk and increase safety in their communities specifically in the areas of crime prevention, injury prevention, emergency services and the environment. Grants between $500 and $5,000 are available through the program.
