Wesfarmers Federation Insurance (WFI) is proud to be the major sponsor of the 2006 Australian Country Football Carnival.

Australian Rules football is a significant contributor to Australian rural life, and selection to represent their State at The Australian Country Football Carnival is an honour for any player and a significant step in their football career. WFI is pleased to provide support for this important and exciting event.

The Wesfarmers Australian Country Football Carnival will be held from 28th to 30th July 2006 on the Gold Coast.

Teams representing New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and the Aboriginal All Stars will compete.

This biennial carnival has been running since 1990. Victoria were the reigning champions up until 2002, when New South Wales stole the trophy. In 2004, it was the Australian Capital Territory that triumphed. This year the trophy will again be hotly contested.
